What is a Thermal Breast Scan?
Thermal Breast Scans are an adjunctive screening technology that records a thermal (heat) signature unique for each individual scanned. Thermal Breast Scans are FDA cleared and screen breast health in women and/or men. The heat pattern images in the breast tissue are recorded by an infrared thermal camera. The entire scan is performed in 6-7 minutes. Your scan images and data are provided to a laboratory for the results to be analyzed. The scan results will take approximately 48-72 business hours and will be sent to your physician who will then evaluate your breast health.
